Busay Flower Farm

It was a gloomy weekend morning, but need to prepare ourselves to be on a planned event, a mountain hike that was composed of the Team Kat-kat. Since I was a newbie, I am not really sure what to bring and what are the things to placed inside my bag. And so, when I arrive on the meet-up place, I ask one of my close friend about the things to bring.

Since the other participants are still on the way, I bought some in the nearby 7/11 in Guadalupe in front of the Church some of the essential needs for mountain hiking. I was very excited though it was not my first but it will be my first to go with professional mountaineers and the route that we gonna be heading is a tough one. It's the route where most Cebu based mountaineers go before going to a major climb.

One of the stop-over of the mountain hike we have is Babag-Busay, this are the neighboring  mountain barangays that are located overlooking at the city. The place here is very good, you can feel the coldness of the air and the freshness of the trees that surrounds the mountains.

One of the views that will truly captivate every hikers are the flower gardens along the route,  beside the cityview. Flowers are one of the products that these two barangay produced and sold in the mainland barangays.

The prize of getting your self in pain for a challenging climb are the beauty that are just behind the bushes and hidden along the mountains sides.

Babag: Mountaineers training route

One of the most known hobby or outdoors activity that most of the adventurers love's this time, is mountain climbing. The number of inspiring mountaineers to be are rising, and many students and young professional are joining into this activity, and even adult are getting interested into this field.

This activity is exciting and will gonna check your over-all capacity and determination to conquer your limitation, and be able to reach to the peak of the mountain which the main goal. This outdoor activity has comprises many aspect like, camaraderie, cooperation, focus and friendship and trust.
Most of the  barkada groups are now into mountain climbing, and it helps them to get fit and become determine on achieving their goals in life.

Babag route is one of the challenging route to  specially for those who are beginners, since the track going to the peak is continues assault, and it will really test your stamina and determination. I always catching my breath while the team Katkat is moving to the peak. I am very pleased with the team, they always cheer me up and check on me if I am still okay.

For the beginners, better be with the team who are considerate with you and will look closely to you, for your safety and to cheer you up to be able to reach up to the peak. Always listen and follow instructions from the seniors specially to the pros, it will definitely help you achieve to reach the peak.

For this route, you check on your guide where will you gonna start, since this has many connecting route, but for the guide we have, we meet at the Guadalupe church, then ride a motorcycle to Sitio Napo. We started our trail at Napo Elementary School going to Babag.

San Carlos: Sipaway Island

An island that is part of the city of San Carlos, the place is separated from the main island of Negros. It will took you about 15-20 minutes to arrive by boat from the main port of San Carlos City, and will cost you 15 pesos fare for the boat. At the port of Sipalay Island, there are already many motorcycles and tricycles ready for every tourists and visitors. Just ask the driver to take you to the resort you want to go around Sipalay, or you can even hire them to take you around the island.

The island has water and electricity supply and this is a big development for the island. Around the island, there are many resorts you can choose to the accommodation will depend on the resort’s amenities. Resorts around the island have white sand beaches.

There are resorts that offers diving lesson and will take you to their best diving spots. You can also find a centennial balete tree found in the backyard of the school. Roaming around the island, you can observe that there are many vacant places or empty areas where there are only a few houses are there. The island is a quite community and children are in awe whenever they see some visitors. It’s really a good place to spend your holiday if you’re looking for a place to relax.

I will be coming back to the place, I will be spending more time on exploring the island, cause I got spend only about 4 hours in the island cause I need to visit another place on the same day. Though I with new friends got a little time spent on the island, we able to visit the centennial tree of the island, which is also one of the tourist destination that is located inside a school campus at the heart of the island. You can ask the driver to drop you at the centennial tree, since it is known by the locals.
